Jump to RecipeIf you are looking for a slightly sweet taco meat without any refined sugar this is an amazing and delicious option. I first made it at a time my husband was trying to avoid refined carbs and this made a great substitute for his favorite slow cooker sweet pork.
Best Liquid for Slow Cooker Pork
In order to add liquid and flavor to the pork I use fresh squeezed orange juice. The juice along with the zest and other spices make a perfectly flavorful and tender shredded pork for tacos.

Ingredients
For the pork
- 2-3 lb pork
- juice and zest of one orange
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
For the tacos
- 24 corn tortillas
- Greek yogurt lime slaw
- avocado
