This honey mustard vinaigrette is nicknamed liquid gold in our house. It is a delicious addition to salads or sandwiches and makes a great dipping sauce or marinade for chicken.

Our favorite way to use this honey mustard vinaigrette is to top sandwiches. It is especially great on breakfast inspired sandwiches with eggs and bacon. We love to pair it with sandwiches made with my sourdough honey oat bread.

This mustard is also perfect for chicken, whether you use it to marinade a chicken breast or as a dip for your favorite chicken tenders or nuggets. Another great way to use the vinaigrette is to top a salad. It pairs well with topping such as tomato and avocado.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/8 cup apple cider vinegar

How to Make Honey Mustard Vinaigrette

Begin by adding sugar and water to a small sauce pan and bring to a boil.

Bring the mixture to a boil and let simmer for about 5 minutes until sauce thickens.

Remove from heat and mix in apple cider vinegar, let cool then the sauce is ready to top your chicken, sandwiches, or salads!
